Training For AGF Jiu Jitsu Tournament-May 11, 2024

Aria Garcia is a proud student of Virtus Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu self-defense Academy!

Gratitude and Thanks to Professor Franco, Coach Melanie, Coach Justin, Coach Pedro, and all coaches who offer guidance to Aria at Virtus BJJ!

Special thanks to Strength & Conditioning Trainer, Nutritionist, and Health Coaches, Matt Cooper of RewireHP, and Rick Garcia of hofML(dad).

Thank you to Nicole Garcia (mom) for your continuous support.

Bio

  • Aria’s lifestyle and nutrition practices align with the bioenergetic approach, focusing on energy-dense foods that are easily digested, absorbed, and utilized. This leaves her with more energy for daily activities by reducing the energy needed for digestion.
  • She consumes wild-caught fish and pasture-raised, grass-finished meat, caged-free poultry, minimizes consumption of polyunsaturated fats, and excludes ultra-processed foods and products with synthetic ingredients.
  • Her macronutrient targets are set at a 3:1 carbohydrate-to-protein ratio, allowing for whatever fat comes with her consumption (1x her body weight). However, on days when she works hard, her consumption may be higher, and on days when she’s relaxing, this ratio could be closer to 2:1.
  • The carbohydrates she enjoys come from organic sources as much as possible: fruits, berries, bananas, apples, mango, kiwi, oranges, orange juice not from concentrate with no added sugar, dark chocolate, some starchy vegetables, Greek yogurt, kefir, raw honey, pure maple syrup, goat cheese, Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream, and, on occasion, rice, sourdough bread, and her mom’s homemade waffles.
  • She loves vegetables!
  • She loves her dog Nollie!
  • Aria is happy and passionate about the activities she chooses to do!
  • She also loves her friends, making new friends, and looks forward to this summer with all the fun activities she plans to take part in, such as jiu-jitsu, wakeboarding, inviting friends to go paddleboarding with her, and having them come over to her house to play and potentially train with her.
