Controlled Articular Rotations (CARs) are slow, controlled rotational movements of joints designed to activate their full range of motion. Not long ago, performing CARs without tools caused me intense tension and pain. I could only imagine applying these movements to a wakeboarding session.
CARs were only a small part of my process to rebuild myself to the point where I could handle surface tricks, sliders, kickers, and full wakeboarding sessions. My primary motivation for practicing CARs was to ease movement, adding to the enjoyment of life and daily activities with my wife and daughter. The strength to wakeboard again is an extra reward the process has allowed me.
