If we truly want to support our children and reduce the risk of autoimmune issues and other health concerns, we must proactively identify and address harmful substances and environmental toxins. Taking action and being part of the solution is essential.
Part of my approach to health, nutrition, and lifestyle emphasizes closely examining the ingredients in our food and the quality of our surrounding environment. While mainstream narratives often claim that certain substances are too minute to pose significant health risks, I hold a different view. This perspective is shaped by my work with naturopathic doctors, health and performance coaches, as well as my own research and experiences.
Substances like mycotoxins, harmful ingredients, herbicides, and pesticides can undermine metabolic health, making it easier for viruses, fungi, and bacteria to overpower our systems. These factors also diminish our resilience to environmental stressors, which is essential for maintaining overall well-being. My goal is to help others understand these impacts, support their efforts with healthcare providers, and adopt practices that promote health and enhance performance.
This brings me to the purpose of this post.
When I visited a facility used to train young athletes, I noticed a potential hazard: the floor was covered with metal dust. Concerned for the safety of the athletes, I raised the issue, emphasizing that such conditions were unsuitable for physical activity and needed immediate attention.
To resolve the problem, we organized a cleaning day with the help of team parents. We used magnetic sweeps to remove the metal dust, followed by thorough sweeping, dust-mopping, and pressure-washing with soap and push brooms to eliminate any remaining debris.
