ISSA Health Coach, Nutritionist, and Certified Personal Trainer
In my late 30s, my health gradually unraveled. What began as subtle changes turned into persistent brain fog, chronic pain, fatigue, and a body that no longer responded to training, nutrition, or stress the way it once had.
That breakdown forced me to slow down and look deeper.
Through comprehensive testing and guided care, it became clear that I was dealing with significant gut imbalance alongside a reactivation of the Epstein–Barr virus. Chronic gastrointestinal stress had weakened my immune system, creating widespread symptoms that affected my energy, nervous system, and ability to tolerate physical and mental load.
Recovery required patience and precision, not shortcuts.
Using a phased, systems-based approach, we focused on restoring gut health, supporting detoxification pathways, and rebuilding immune resilience. As my internal capacity improved, symptoms receded, energy returned, and my tolerance for food, stress, and movement steadily increased.
At the same time, I deepened my understanding of nutrition, metabolism, and inflammation, learning how food, training, and lifestyle choices can either support recovery or quietly perpetuate stress inside the body. This knowledge became foundational, not only in restoring my health, but in shaping how I coach.
About a year into the process, I was able to reintroduce resistance training with intention. Movement, when applied intelligently and progressively, became a tool for rebuilding capacity rather than something that pushed me further into depletion.
This journey reshaped my perspective on health and performance.
hofML Health & Performance is built on the belief that durable performance starts with internal health. Nutrition, intelligent training, and sustainable lifestyle practices must work together to build resilience, especially for those rebuilding after setbacks or looking to stay active long-term.
My work is grounded in lived experience, continuous education, and a commitment to helping individuals restore capacity, move with confidence, and perform at a level that supports both longevity and quality of life.
